Creative Baking

Baking creativity at its best!! Can you believe this is bread?? The Boudin Bakery in SFO is very popular for its sour dough bread and especially the breads sculpted in various shapes. These are real works of art!! Their display consisted of sourdough bread shaped like teddy bears, crabs and tiny turtles…. We even saw a baker actually sculpt the bread in the form of a tiny turtle!!! Needless to say I was very thrilled. The pic above is bread shaped like an alligator and it was the best picture I could get. Don’t miss the currant eyes and the little eye brows – classic! This was taken during the SFO visit this June 2011.
